It starts off with 3kg of clay. White stoneware to be specific. Thrown on the potters wheel the lamp is left to dry and then sliced the next day. It's during this process that the fit is adjusted and the correct diameter holes are drilled for the light socket and integrated switch. As it slowly dries in the studio it's shuffled around so it can dry evenly. After a couple of weeks they are loaded into the kiln and fired to 2160 degrees fahrenheit. The lamps are then removed and bottoms sanded smoothed.

Each piece is handmade and thus there may be small differences piece to piece. Does not come with bulb
